One Minute In May For Serious Youth Violence
One Minute in May is in it’s third year of holding one minutes silence in remembrance of all young people lost to youth violence in the UK. It takes place annually in the 1st May at Trafalgar Square. As well as holding a minute’s silence, it is a time to hear from those adversely affected by youth violence, to remember and encourage as there is a lot to be done to address this issue, but it starts with each one of us.
This year has already seen so many young lives hope and opportunities extinguished, and their families and friends lives will never be the same. It was encouraging to see so many young people there, and in remembrance there is also hope for change.
